Who’s behind that book you’re reading?
Last week I attended a book launch of a fellow “spring author.” That’s what we call ourselves, this band of writers whose books have been cultivated by SheWritesPress for spring publication. After all the work, the conference calls, the asks for help and advice, like little caterpillars, we are now unfurling our beautiful wings as our books hit the stores. The day is here! My book finally made its way from idea to words to countless edits and design into a real thing I can hold in my own hands. The cover feels like cashmere. The weight feels substantial. There are no words to describe how this feels, which I’m well aware is odd for a writer to say. I said “Yes” to being a writer long ago in the process.
